What is Sourcewell?

Sourcewell is a government agency and member-owned cooperative purchasing organization with more than 50,000 member agencies across the United States and Canada. Originally founded in 1978 as an Educational Cooperative Service Unit for its five-county region in Minnesota, Sourcewell has grown into one of the largest and most trusted cooperative purchasing programs in the country.

Sourcewell conducts its own rigorous competitive solicitation process, including requests for proposals and invitations to bid, on behalf of its members. Vendors are vetted, contracts are awarded, and members can purchase directly from those contracts, satisfying their own local bidding requirements in the process.
