The Nederman 89120040 is an Abort Gate (sometimes referred to as an abort damper) used in industrial dust collection and exhaust systems.
An abort gate is a critical safety component designed to protect facilities from fires and explosions. In the event a spark, fire, or explosive dust is detected in a dust collector, the abort gate automatically triggers to redirect the contaminated air and flames away from the filter and out to a safe area or explosion vent.
